About Kit
Kit at the London 2012 Olympic Games
Kit, a freelance sports writer (and occasional photographer) from Sussex, was first published over 25 years ago when he wrote for both Bluesnews and Football Utopia.
After completing a degree in Publishing and Tourism at Oxford Brookes University, Kit worked in Marketing Communications for a number of years in London and then Sussex.
During the late 1980s and early 1990s, Kit was often to be found reporting from the press boxes of London's top football clubs. Additionally, Kit holds the rare distinction of having attended a home-nation World Games (1985), Commonwealth Games (2002), Olympic Games (2012) and Paralympic Games (2012), along with numerous Wimbledon tennis finals and many other sporting events throughout Europe.
A qualified athletics coach and tennis referee, Kit was also the creator - and chief writer - at FootballCrests.com for 6 years before selling that website. Kit's work has subsequently been used by Ace Tennis magazine, the Worthing Herald, Sussex Soccer Shorts website, SussexSport.co.uk, Sport.co.uk and the Mirror Online.
Having now watched - and reported on - over 100 different sports in person, Kit's sporting knowledge is extensive and extremely wide ranging. He is equally comfortable covering mainstream and minority sports, but particularly enjoys writing about tennis, curling, football, athletics and equestrianism.
Kit is a full member of both the Sports Journalists' Association (SJA) and the International Sports Press Association (AIPS).
